Project Overview
Panache is a three-level weekend villa set within the Jamunda Hills of Igatpuri, designed for a site defined by its slope, its views, and its distance from the urban. The project is built around an A-frame influenced roof structure a single dominant geometry that serves simultaneously as roof, wall, and the primary architectural statement of the composition. The brief called for a private retreat that maximises indoor-outdoor connection at every level, accommodates multi-generational use, and resolves the challenges of a steeply sloping site without working against it. The result is a villa that uses its topography as a design asset rather than an engineering constraint, and was recognised at the GeeVees Awards 2025 in the category of Hospitality Architecture and Interior for projects under 50 rooms.
The slope was not a problem to be solved. It was the material the design was made from.

OUR CORE APPROACH
The site gave the levels. The A-frame gave the enclosure. The design gave them purpose.
The site’s natural slope is the structural logic of the entire villa rather than levelling the ground, the design works across three distinct levels, each with its own programme and relationship to the landscape. A signature A-frame MS framework acts as both roof and wall, creating cantilevered volumes and sheltered terraces that make the villa’s form inseparable from its hillside setting. Floor-to-ceiling glazing and glass railings keep the boundary between inside and outside deliberately thin, while interiors are held to a minimal palette throughout with Moroccan tile patterns on the sloping bathroom walls providing a single, considered moment of texture and craft within an otherwise restrained language.
